Mid-weight UX / UI designer

Full time

The role

We’re on the lookout for a mid-weight UX / UI designer to join our fast-growing Manchester-based team.

As a UX / UI designer, you will play a pivotal role in creating exceptional digital experiences, driving innovation, and crafting visually stunning interfaces that align with our clients’ brand visions. Your skills will be instrumental in bringing projects to life, creating wow moments and making a lasting impression on a wide range of users.

Our Perspective

What we need from you:

  • Support the wider team on in-depth user research, interviews, surveys and usability testing, to understand needs, behaviours and pain points.
  • Develop user personas, journey maps, and user flows to inform the design process and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate user insights into actionable design solutions.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes and interactive mock-ups to illustrate and validate design concepts.
  • Continuously iterate designs based on feedback, user testing and project requirements.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Solving core UX challenges, resolving creative subjectivity between client and your ideas. Handling feedback and working alongside the internal teams and our clients to show what lasting value carefully considered UX/UI brings.
  • Working closely with our Creative Director, Digital Creative Lead, stakeholders, fellow designers, project managers and developers, and as part of a team, contributing to the improvement of the design quality and final user experience.
  • Running workshops; diving into sitemap creation and lo-fi UX in order to co-design with our clients.
  • • Presenting and communicating your ideas and design rationale both to working groups and C-suite.

Your Perspective

Your skills & experience:

  • You will have 2+ years’ experience, ideally agency side as a UX/UI designer.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, including FigJam.
  • A brilliant portfolio that demonstrates creative excellence in both UX and UI.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and a real passion for the craft.
  • You appreciate the importance of data and how it can inform a brief to improve the product.
  • Experience in working end-to-end on a project, and ensuring it’s delivered effectively and accurately to the UR.
  • Ability to understand the array of technical constraints but also familiar with front-end development technologies, user goals and business requirements that shape current and future development.
